On October 28, Gyeongsan city, Gyeongbuk (Mayor Byeong-guk Choi) announced that entering into the age of one million foreigners in Korea, it published 'A Cultural Guide for the Understanding of Multi-Culture' in order to broaden the understanding of different cultures from each other and to promote the understanding for settlement in communities.

 

In the book, regional characteristics of 8 countries such as China, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and Uzbekistan from which many people came from and live in Gyeongsan area, as well as the introductions to their important histories, national characters, socio-cultures, major tourist sights, etc. have been included.In addition, it can be used as a helpful guide for multi-cultural families by containing information about nationality acquisition, visiting Korean language service, various consultations like supports for nurturing children and legal matters, etc. and the introduction to the Support Center for Multi-Cultural Families in Gyeongsan city and the operations and contacts of important institutions in Gyeongsan city, etc.
